- Small and Medium Sized Enterprises
Industrial players/Large Enterprises Programme scope: EIC Pathfinder focusses on early-stage development of and aims to support interdisciplinary research and development.

Participant criteria: Applicants need to be part of a consortium that includes at least three independent legal entities, each in a different Member State or Associated Country, with at least one of them being established in a Member States.

R&D stage: EIC Pathfinder supports early-stage development. Emphasis lies on new and ambitious novel technologies that are not yet fully mature.

Intellectual property: Pathfinder projects are subject to provisions to ensure open access to scientific publications and to promote the uptake of research results. EIC projects are encouraged to support cross-fertilisation and exploitation across other EIC projects. This means that Pathfinder projects could be asked to share information about results across relevant EIC projects and parties.
